Lahore, The examination of final semester of BS (Hons) will start from today at Lahore College for Women University (LCWU). Dr. Tahira Aziz Mughal, Controller of Examination has said that papers for all faculties will start today and will finish before the start of Ramzan ul Mubarak. But the schedule for practical and thesis work will be declared later on. The date sheet of all the papers have been displayed in all concerned departments of the university. If a student does not receive date sheet then she is instructed to download the date sheet from the website of the university.

Lahore College for Women University is going to offer a 4 years BS degree programs with 124-136 credit hours divided into 8 semesters, 2 semesters each year which will give learning and experience to the students for higher education and careers and meet national demands and international challenges in the quickly changing world scenario.

For this four year BS program, all students should take one major and two minor subjects in addition to English, Islamic Studies, Pakistan Studies, Introduction to Computer, Mathematics /Statistics /University Optional as compulsory subjects.

Academic session begins in September and ends in June-July every year. Admissions regarding BS classes are done according to the schedule advertised in the newspapers and no admission forms will be collected after due date. The list of the selected candidates will be displayed on the notice board of the university. The admission dues will be paid by the selected candidates within mentioned date or in case of failing the admission of the concerned student will be stand cancelled.

The university has a large number of students including about ten thousand women at campus. The students enrolled in its undergraduates and postgraduates programs who take part in different courses and projects through their teaching in the respective class rooms and self directed learning.
