Karachi, More than 240,000 children having age group of five to nine years age have been dropped out from schools in the province of Sindh due to different reasons.
Senior Minister for Education and Literacy, Pir Mazhar ul Haq has said while delivering the speech at a seminar “Education for all – School truancy in children” which was organized by the Education department at Sukkur. He further added that it was their duty to insist those children to go to school punctually who are dropped out from schools. The cope with the challenges, the education department of Sindh is making their strenuous efforts which resulting into improving the literacy rate in Sindh as compared with other provinces.
He also told the audience that a fund of Rs.12 billion has been allotted for education in the province by their government which is a considerably huge amount in all the four provinces of Pakistan.
