Army Medical College starts admission process for grant of admissions to the new and talented students in their disciplines like MBBS and BDS. Admissions in the Army Medical College are conducted through Army Selection Centers following the routine military procedures before granting them admission in the Pakistan Army. General Headquarters is the final authority for the selection of the cadets.
Normally, Army Medical College starts admission process for MBBS and BDS disciplines during September/October each year and instructs the interested and eligible candidates to submit their admission forms, which they can obtain from NUST. When Army Medical College announces the schedule of the admission, it will be updated and admission process will be started.
The candidates must have passed their FSc (Pre-Medical) exams from any Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education with minimum 60% marks each in Matric and FSc or got any equivalent qualification (Overseas High School Certificate/British General Certificate of Education (Advanced level)/International Baccalaureate) with Physics, Biology and Chemistry. The age of the candidates will be in range of 17 to 25 years. Army Medical College is also affiliated with the NUST.
The admission test of NUST will be conducted in all big cities of the country. The college authority announces the date of written entry test through electronic and print media. The candidates who are succeeded in the entry test are declared through press but they are called for interview through call-up letters. The candidates who get success in the written exams, medical test, intelligence exams after interview, their final selection has been done.
The written entry test of the candidates included with the subjects like Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English. The percentage of all the subjects is like English and Physics have 15% each, Biology have 40% and Chemistry have 30%.
The fee structures of the students vary from time to time as the college set these fee structure to meet their demands. The complete fee structure is given as under:
Paying Cadets - Rs.3,000 pm
NUST Cadets - Rs.13,000 pm
Foreign Cadets - Rs.10,000 pm
All Paying Cadets - Rs.3,000 pm

The successful and short listed candidates are called for their medical test at the Military Hospital near to their residence. The medical test is conducted by the Medical Board. The written test is comprised of the MCQ type test on the FSc syllabus in Physics, English, Biology and Chemistry and this written test is conducted in Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Quetta, Peshawar and Rawalpindi and the arrangements of the written exams are made by the NUST.
The General Headquarters Selection Board is conducted the intelligence/personality test and interview of the candidates at Rawalpindi. Keeping in view the overall performance of the candidates, final selection is made at General Headquarters. The selected candidates have to sign a bond regarding minimum service of 13 years in the Army after completion of their MBBS and BDS degree course. The cadets after passing their MBBS/BDS degree course in the Army Medical College, they will have to go to the PMA Kakul for 22 weeks for getting the basic military training there. After passing their military training at PMA Kakul and AFPGMI, they are granted commission in the Pakistan Army as Captain in the AMC/ADC.
