Punjab University Issues BA/BSc Supplementary Exams Schedule starts from October 4

Lahore, BA/BSc supplementary exams 2012 of Punjab University are going to start from October 2012. The University administration has issued schedule of the supplementary exams of BA/BSc classes for which roll number slips and date sheets have been issued to the candidates who applied for the supplementary exams on the postal addresses which they mentioned in their admission forms. In case of non receipt of roll number slips and date sheets, then the candidates are advised to contact with the University administration in their examination department located at New campus with the copy of National Identity Card to get duplicate roll number slip.

PSDF Gives Vocational Training to 30,000 Jobless Youth

Bahawalpur, Punjab Government is giving vocational training to the unemployed youth through Punjab Skill Development Fund which is running for the betterment of the boys who are still searching for jobs. This was stated by the PML-N Parliamentarian Mr. Balighur Rehman in a certificate distribution ceremony. He also added that under this fund, Punjab government has already given training to 14,000 jobless youth and now they are going to impart training to 30,000 jobless students this year. The PSDF has now arranged a skill training workshop in which about 407 candidates participated which was organized with the coordination of Children Global Network Pakistan.

Addressing to the congregation, Punjab Minister for Prisons, Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar, and PML-N MNA Saud Majid said the Chief Minister is determined to spread the network of technical education in the whole province especially in Southern Punjab as it is far off area and most of the people are facing various difficulties in earning their livelihood. The candidates who will get training from this institute will be able to earn their living in respectable manner while working in the country or in the foreign countries. Manager (Technical) PSDF said that there are 93 different training courses teach to the candidate to make their lives comfortable and satisfactory.

Merit Scholarships Award to Freshmen in FC College

Lahore, Forman Christian College Lahore granted admission in BA/BSc program and announce merit scholarships for freshmen. The college has already announced the criteria to apply for merit scholarship.

The students who got 85% marks or more in intermediate exams and three or more AS in A level exams in relevant subjects are eligible to apply in the merit scholarship.

The college has also announced the final date for submission of the application along with att4ested copies of intermediate/A level result card in the admission office not later than October 12, 2012. If any candidate fails in submitting his/her application for merit scholarship then he will not be eligible to apply further.

Scholarships Awarded to Position Holders Matric Students in Chitral

Chitral, The local leader of JUI Qari Faiz Ullah arranged prize distribution ceremonies every year from previous many years. This year, he again organized a prize distribution ceremony in Centennial Model High School for Boys in which DCO Chitral Rehmat Ullah Wazir was chief guest and the ceremony was presided over by the District chief of JUI, Molvi Abdul Rehman. These awards are given to the students who got prominent positions in the annual exams and enlighten the name of their parents and their educational institutes as well as their city.

According to the details, the first position got by intelligent student Tausif Ahmed who studied in Broze Public School and achieved 895 marks and was awarded with Rs.40,000, the second position attained by Nighat Tariq of Muslim Model School Chitral who got 882 marks and received cash prize of Rs.30,000 while Ihtisham Ul Haq of Orien School Booni stood third with 860 marks and received Rs,.20,000 as cash prize.

While in the government schools, Ayesha Sultana got first position by securing 827 with winning Rs.40,000 as cash prizes, Hina Ghani secured second position with 818 marks and received cash prize of Rs.30,000 and third position went to Saima Qayyum who got 811 marks and Rs.20,000 as cash prize. All three positions went to Government Girls High School Moldeh.

Indus University Awards Scholarships to Children of Karachi fire Victims

Islamabad, A garment factory situated in the main hub of Karachi city caught fire and all of a sudden all floors of the building burnt into ashes. Reportedly, about 250 people burnt in this tragic incident left their children and wives hopeless and desperate.

Indus University is a well renowned education institute which imparts quality of education to the students at affordable rate of fee. This University has announced to award educational scholarships to the children of the deceased so that they can carry on their education. All factions of life appreciated their decision to mitigate the problems of the deceased family.

Prime Minister of Pakistan is also appreciated this honorable act of Indus University to provide financial support to the children and families of the deceased. He also distributed cheques among the families of the victims in the tragic incident of fire in Lahore. The cheque distribution ceremony was held at Governor House Lahore. He distributed cheques of Rs.4,00,000 for each family of the deceased and Rs.1,00,000 to each injured person of this incident.

During cheques distribution ceremony, he appreciated the companies and other institutions who worked for the humanities and for the families of the people who died in these tragic incidents. He also quoted the example of Indus University and insisted other institutions to come forward and support the families of the bereaved family so that they can stand on their own feet and earn their own living and get their educated.

DuPont Pioneer Accord Scholarships to FC College Students

Lahore, DuPont Pioneer is a company which works on the research of plant genetics and also supplies quality seeds to the peasants to grow good quality crops in the country. The company is also working with the Forman Christian College Lahore to carry out their research through coordination between two departments.

Through consistent efforts of Dr Kousar Abdullah Mailk, DuPont Pioneer company accorded scholarships to two students named Muhammad Adeel and Maria Maqsood for doing their research and work on Biotechnical programs. Both students have already completed their BSc (Hons) Biotechnical programs and scholarships are awarded to them for carrying on their education in MPhil Biotechnical program.

Lahore University Starts Admissions in Short Courses of AutoCAD 2012-13

Lahore, Lahore University is going to start short courses in AutoCAD in disciplines of Civil, Mechanical and Electrical programs. The University has announced admission in the short courses for which all interested candidates can obtain admission forms from Mr. Imran Mehboob in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

The duration of this short course is only 4 week and the fee for this course is Rs.5000 and the timing of the class will be 5 pm to 7 pm. The classes of the courses will be conducted at the main campus of the University located at 1-Km, Raiwind Road Lahore from 01st October 2012. The professional staff will supervise the whole course. The candidates who intend to attend the subject course should be Engineer, CAD Supervisor, Draftsman, TTC Certificate holder and Fresh Diploma Holder.

GCU Opens BSc, MS 2012-13 Admissions

Lahore, Admissions in BSc and MS in different disciplines are being offered by Government College University Lahore for the session 2012-13. The disciplines in which admissions are granted, are Telecommunication, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer and Electronics.

The eligible candidates should have Intermediate (Pre-Engineering), Intermediate (Pre-Medical) with mathematics as additional subject and 60% aggregated marks, GCSE A-level or foreign qualification equivalent to Intermediate (Pre-Engineering) for which equivalent certificate of IBCC should attach with it. DAE/B.Tech in Electrical, Instrumental and Electronic Engineering is also valid for the subject admission.

The candidates who want to get admission in MS Electrical Engineering should pass with 2.50 CGPA in semester system or 60% aggregated marks in the annual system.
